Residential Energy Performance Certificates

If you are selling or letting a residential property then a valid Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required.

A EPC displays the energy performance of a property on an A to G scale (A is most efficient and G the worst performing).

​

If you are selling, then the rating can be from A to G.

​

If you are letting, then the rating has to be E or better.

​

The EPC will also include a recommendation report that lists improvements that can be made to increase the energy performance of the building.
